Today is an important day. Today is the 25th anniversary of Profski's 39th birthday! You will recall that he collects position 39 MPC. That is because 39 is his age and today is the silver anniversary of his first 39th birthday.
You guys will be jealous to learn what a sweet and wonderful wife he has. For such important events as this he gets gifts of items for his collection! His wife calls me and asks me to send her something for him. She tells me how much she wants to spend and I send her something.
Now here is the good part. It is SECRET. Keep it quite or he and I both could get into BIG trouble. When I see Ski after the event, I collect the rest of what he owes me for the item. He does not want his wife to know the scale involved in these purchases especially because he would have to reciprocate to the same scale! Remember, secret.
I am late to getting around to this, sorry. Wiz made some important discoveries as a show in Oklahoma a few weeks ago. Well, perhaps more than that, but it is important stuff anyway.
Be sure to take a look at his report at the link below. The picutes of MPC in use in Veitnam are spectacular of course, but what I really like is the counterfeit 681 $20. It is the first that I have seen. It is a terrible counterfeit, but the part I liked the best is the serial number. It is astronomical! Far more than any printing of ANY MPC. I love it.

The next major show is the American Numismatic Association Convention (August 9-13). This year the convention will be in Philadelphia. 25 years ago the ANA convention was one of the major events for paper money. Now with the development of so many successful paper money shows (and of course the MPC Fest), its importance has diminished, but it is still an important show. Because it is such a big and important show, you cannot help but find some good paper there. Marv Mericle's great MPC collection will NOT be on display as promissed because of family and administration problems. We are certainly sorry to hear about that, but hope that all goes well with Marv and that we will see the exhibit again soon.
I will be there the entire time and will be pleased to chat MPC with you!

Beautiful Konversionskasse notes for sale. These are the notes used as part of the Nazi plan to get control of their foreign exchange problems. These are listed in Pick, but if you want to really learn something about them, see 484 of the bible (World War II Remembered). I have a pair of the 5 mark notes for only $100. If you want one or the other they are $60. These are S/B 201 and 211. They are exceptionally nice uncirculated examples. You will like them.
