Tons of people. The attendance at the show so far was announced as 18,000. I think that the best every before this was 12,000 or perhaps 11,000 and we have at least half a day to go. Bill Y was here again and his lady came again even though I thought that she would not not. She did find a real shopping mall so I did not lose faith. Bill found lots of things and has promissed a lengthy report very soon. I talked to the guys for the Green Sheet.New MPC and replacement reports are scheduled, but that is not the interesting news. They are considering putting MPC in EVERY issue along with the rest of US paper money. That is a very interesting idea. I am not 100% in favor of it, but still it is at least interesting. I sure look forward to your thoughts on that. Austin Sheehen is a former owner and publisher of the Bank Note Reporter. At one time he had an MPC collection. He sold it as he pursued other collections. He restarted his collection at 2:30 pm August 12 in Philadelphia. Austin is a good collector who will contribute a lot to the hobby. Welcome, Austin. I bought a few more interesting items today, including, gasp, some coins. WWII, but coins. Will tell you more about those later. To my way of thinking, one of the most significant finds of the show was a 521 $5 from the second printing. It is in the collection of a collector who did not even know about multis till I told him. I thought that he was going to be willing to trade it to me, but that fell apart when he figured the vf note at over $10K!!!!!!!?????? I was so flabbergasted that I did not even get the serial number.
