====================================================== MPC Gram ======================================================= Series 001 Number 92 Aug 20, 2000 News and Views We have some great contributions by paymaster and Mr. Doric. They will be published i the coming week. We have some work to do on them first and some coordination to. Also do not have much time today. MPC Fest is only six months away! You will find the dates below. We need to start thinking seriously about what we want to do in the way of activities. I have a few new ideas, but certainly need to hear from you. I think that we will have an official trading session this year with tables and such. Perhaps only for a few hours. Might even invite non attending dealers/collectors to send matieral that is for sale. I think that I can find a volunteer in the house here to sit at a table with the multiple submissions. Probably will charge for tables. Your ideas certainly are needed on the fest (and everything else too). [Aside to Marv, can you work on getting Elmer Smith to come this year? He will be an honored guest.] ======================================================== Mail Call Dear Editor, Want you to know, enjoy everyone of you grams. Can't seem to get chat to work for me, but maybe one of these days. I will have the MPC's on exhibit at the Indiana State Show in November. Not the one I want for ANA which I now plan on doing in Atlanta in 2001. Thanks again. Marv Hello Marv, careful with that priase, it could go to our heads! Glas to hear that your exhibit is going to hit the road again. We are particularly looking forward to the "special" version. To conclude a deal that I made at the ANA convention, I had to find a copy of my ca 1978 pamphlet The Paper Money of the E. A. Wright Bank Note Company. That meant that I had to spend the afternoon in the warehouse. Now that is an adventure! Anyway, I was lucky and found not only a copy, but a few copies. I also found some other things that I will offer in the next few days as well. Anyway, as they say, while supplies last, copies of the Wright pamphlet for $15 postpaid. Reserve your copy by email (please include shipping address) and I will send the pamphlet with an invoice. As with just about everything that I do, there are tons of stories associated with the Wright notes and even with the pamphlet! I hope to get to the stories in the gram! --------------------------------- Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
