======================================================= MPC Gram ====================================================== Vol 1 Number 55 June 24, 2000 News and Views Flemming Hansen from Denmark collects MPC and World War II items as a part of his general world paper money collection. Flemmng is our only subscriber from Denmark. Flemming makes the following very interesting report. There now is known two examples (according to the auction company) of Danish AMC 100 kroner WITHOUT the Specimen overprint. One piece was auctioned off on May 1, 2000 at Thomas Höiland Auctions in Copenhagen for DKK 47000.00 = $5754.25 + fees. (For Danes = + 25%). A photocopy is on the way to you through the mail. The serial number is D/01 474102. It seems that those notes with or without the specimen overprint are out of the same batch of about 10 notes. The other note I know without the overprint is on display at The Danish National Bank. Next time I go to the Bank I'll check the serial number of that one, and report it to you. The 100 kr denomination is a great note and this is exciting news. Flemming, thanks for the report, we look forward to further reports. I am still on the road. I do not expect to be home till Wed or Thursday, but I hope to be able to stay in conact at least a little. ======================================================= Letters We need your letters for publication in this section.
