Your editor is off for a little family vacation early on Thursday morning and things are terribly hectic here. I will be in Hawaii from the 13th through the 26th. I hope to get the gram out most days but I do not know for sure what the telephone situation is in the condo. I DO however know the number so I CAN receive your calls both for business and pleasure. Indeed, I am sure that I will be delighted to have an opportunity to chat live with fellow collectors while I am there.
Below are the phone numbers for the condo and my cell phone. Do not hesitate to call either at any time if you have a bid deal on which I can make a lot of money or you have a great item for my collection. If you just want to chat, well use a little more judgement on when to call!

Tonight is the time for the close of the BEP AMC 1 yen replacement. To make it even more fun, it will be closing during MPC chat time! I expect that it will be subject to lots of discussion and I look forward to it!

Right now cannot do the chat room as my machine at home is older than dirt and will not connect to the world. I live too far from the office to just
run in &hook up. So---------- . Am looking at upgrading sometime during this
century. What do I give up in order to afford the connection - the cable tv or
the long distance phone? (I know, the paradox. I buy MPC yet complain about the cost of the Web).

Calendar
In this section we will highlight MPC chat, MPC Fest, and MPC gram events. Other events will be mentioned as they get close. For planning purposes see the papermoneyworld.com calendar of events.
The next major show is the American Numismatic Association Convention (August 9-13). This year the convention will be in Philadelphia. 25 years ago the ANA convention was one of the major events for paper money. Now with the development of so many successful paper money shows (and of course the MPC Fest), its importance has diminished, but it is still an important show. Because it is such a big and important show, you cannot help but find some good paper there. Marv Mericle's great MPC collection will NOT be on display as promissed because of family and administration problems. We are certainly sorry to hear about that, but hope that all goes well with Marv and that we will see the exhibit again soon.
I will be there the entire time and will be pleased to chat MPC with you!
Chat was not operating Sunday night. I do not know what the problem was, but it should be "fixed" for Monday night.
