As most of you know, Phil Goldstein is conducting a survey to find the highest serial number in collections of all MPC. This is interesting research. Phil needs reports of your notes. For those o you who have made reports, he needs confirmation of two reports. The two reports below are both higher than the number reported printed. I have checked the records that I have and believe that the totals reported in the MPC book are correct so confirmation of these two reports is very important. Confirmation is needed of the following two Highest Reported Serial Numbers: Series 472 10 cent: C10258278C and Series 661 10 dollar B05985789B You can find a report of Phil's survey at his home page on AOL. I think that the address is http://hometown.aol.com/IWANTMYMPC/page1.html. If that will not get you there, I am sure that Phil will hammer me for putting this in here incorrectly and give us the correct address. Nick Shrier is doing a little research too. Someone reported to him that in Korea on C day that fractional notes were not exchangable. I told him that I did not think that that was correct. He found another C day vet who reported that fractionals could be converted but were limited to under a dollar. Still does not sound right to me, but Nick would like to know if anyone else can shed any light on this. Thanks a bunch. Leo "Paymaster" May made it into chat last night. Leo is about as anti techi as they come, so I am convinced that everyone can get in. Have a great day. Hope to see you at chat.
