He is one of us and the ANA recognized him today at a membership reception as the numismatist of the year. Anda collects MPC,AMC and other military money issues. He also collects ANA award hardware having previously recieved an association medal of merit and Zerbe. He also served the association in most (all?) elected positions and other appointed positions. Earlier in the day the association honored Gram editor Schwan with a Smedley medal for service to the association and hobby. ========================================== Editorial ========================================== Another day has passed without entering the bourse. I did make a nice purchase of a World War II "propaganda" leaflet. It was handed to me by a dealer in a hallway. Of particular interest to many Gramsters is a nice overprint "Milwaukee 1944." At the reception honoring Adna, I showed the item to Chet Krause and Cliff Mishler. They assumed that since I was showing it to them that I was also offerring it to them for sale so they immediately commenced dickering between themselves about who should get the item from me! Talk about buying signals! I should have loved it, but I did not really want to sell it. Of course this year the banquet is of special interest to us because of the Zerbe award. Rumor has it that pay books should be taken to the banquet.
