Thought that you should look over the parts that pertain to you. Let me know if I have goofed if up! Fred ==================================================== MPC Gram ==================================================== Covering the Entire World of Military Numismatics ---------------------------------------------------- Series 002-Number 202 Thurski - 21 December 2000 ==================================================== Editorial ---------------------------------------------------- MPC maven Ed Beaman had a chat (email exchange) based upon his letter in Mail Call and I am excited to make an announcement. Ed has agreed to become the gram indexer! He will create and maintain some sort of index of material that has appeared in your gram. The exact (or even approximate) format, appearance, function, distribution, and other matters have not been determined. This is where you come in. Ed needs your ideas as he develops the Gram Index. If you have technical ideas on how/where to do this, he wants to hear it. If you have editorial ideas of what to list and how, he wants to hear it. In fact, we all want to hear your ideas, so send them to the gram! Welcome aboard Ed! ==================================================== Mail Call ---------------------------------------------------- Dear Editor, My thanks and congratulations on the 200th gram..."simply, amazing." I'm sure my thoughts are shared by many. I read and absorb the information daily. But, with so much great stuff, comes a question. I'm having a difficult time, going back and finding the specific article, or piece. I was wondering if there are any ideas out there, in "Gram Land." There must be an easy way to access all of this information, quickly. I am open to any & all suggestions. Heck, Fred.....maybe you need a "File Clerk." Respect, Ed Beaman Dear Gram, I have ben watching your latest MPC Grams and have enjoyed them very much. I learned quite a bit by buying your book on MPCs and found a note at a show yesterday that I want to report. 5 Yen, series 100 (type B) H00108288A 2 heavy vertical folds and minor handling, call it VF-XF Looks very nice from the face. Also a question if you please: I have 2 series 100 ONE YEN with different looking serial numbers than the 5 YEN and from a CC block. It that how they were or are these bad?? Tim K. Dear Tim, Nice replacement, good find. Too bad that it is not an A of course. The "funny" look of the C-C block is because those notes were printed by the Japanese Finance Ministry Printing Bureau as opposed to the US BEP that printed the others. This is explained in World War II Remembered. I do hope that you have a copy of this book too. Sorry if this sounds like an advertisement!
