Fest III Successful
Thirty keen, if a bit eccentric, collectors and dealers gathered in Port Clinton for third time to celebrate collecting of military payment certificates and other military money. By all accounts it was an entertaining—and profitable—weekend.
More reports will be published in the next few days. All participants are asked to send their thoughts, observations, and ideas.

While the Fest was a wild success, the Gram was in shambles. As usual, this was the result of a combination of factors. The time schedule over the past two weeks was very demanding between MPCx (uh, CPMx), release of the new MPC book, preparations for then participating in MPCFest. As if these were not enough, computer and Internet factors continued to interfere with our best intentions for daily Gram publication.
We continue to have problems sending the Gram to the entire mailing list. We received lots of suggestions at the Fest, but few serious offers of help. We do have some ideas on this and expect to get it fixed in the next few days (or weeks).
The email disaster that attacked some readers was partially the result of an experiment aimed at fixing our distribution problems. It was exacerbated by some good intended disregard for instructions, and finally by a small lapse in judgment. Hopefully, that problem has been fixed. We also hope to get the Gram back on schedule and on the task of promoting MPC (and similar items) collecting and research.
Because of the unreliable delivery over the past few weeks, we will republish some of the past issues. We will either send them out again or post them at papermoneyworld.net. We will certainly announce that decision at the time.
