EDITORAL

Greetings Grammers! Happy Holidays and
APRIL FOOLS DAY!
Hopefully, you will be receiving this Gram in it's new format, with working web & email links, font colors, styles and sizes. Yes, it's finally happening... After many bugs, I do believe Fred, Doug and I have solved most of the problems... As a matter of fact, the above April Fools message should be multicolored. If you do not get a colored or readable copy, or you see an error, or even a comment,  please reply to me directly at: IWANTMYMPC@aol.com

As our humble master is away, I will have the conn, so to speak. So, I will be looking forward to your assistance throughout the next couple of days to spice the Gram up. Those of you who were reluctant to send in an article for fear of not getting it in the gram in a timely manner, have no fear! You send it, I'll put it in.

MAIL CALL

Hi!  After reading "Fred's" great book on MPC, I noticed one area on page 41 about the color coding 'bands' of the various denominations. I purchased a while back, a small group of series #611 $1.00 "with a YELLOW" band. So, you may add this to the data base. To confirm farther, "David Seeyle, if I recall, Oct. 2000 BNR, had listed a "pack of #641 $1" for sale!  So he should be able to confirm it also. One more thought, The other two missing denominations are the $10, and the $20. Mr. #691 should be able to recall which colors they are! Hope this helps! Guy Araby!

MFC patch "Under Development" Perhaps the most striking scenario for MFC soldiers is a development that could eliminate their need to be Addicted Festers. The MPC patch. It works much like the nicotine patch used by smokers trying to quit. "MPC patches applied to the body will release the necessary nutrients" "Not addictive", but enough to keep you going. "MPC Soldiers would be kept awake, and would be capable of surviving in even the most arduous conditions. But the patches would only be used on a temporary basis. For more Information goto www.papermoneyworld.net/patch.htm

Coming up on April 12th through the 14th will be the WESTchester Paper Money EXpo (WESTPMEX). Philip M. Goldstein is planning on attending on Friday, April 12th. Anyone care to join him for a mini-Fest?

Very interesting replacement. Series 692 $10 (!!), serial number E00032007 pos 5. This SN demonstrates the system very well. Four positions completed = 32,000 notes. This then is from sheet number 7. Note is overall very fine, but looks extremely fine from the face. The centerfold that is strong on the back is not even noticable on the face. Two staple holes that saved the note from destruction 30 years ago at left. Yours for $3300, terms possible. Confirm at: fredschwan@yahoo.com
